this is so frustrating. why cant they just send up a probe that detects microbe life? the next 2 missions will not have that capability!

  1. There is already evidence that there was life on Mars including human life. But the atmosphere was destroyed due to a cataclysm that occurred when Jupiter enterd our sloar system. Life there was either scattered or destroyed. Most scientists have known this for many years, but keep it suppressed like lots of other info, because they would rather hold on to the accepted and created view of history. Thats all I will say for now.

  2. bcuz we don't know how to do that.

bcuz there are lots of other things to find out.

bcuz there is only so much money available and they have to be careful what they spend it on.

  3. because they know already...

    We are not alone.

  4. maybe they don't have a mastercard!

  5. Another failing of our current Pres, no doubt.  What sort of microbes do you suggest they detect for  --  Carbon based?  potassium based?  hydrogen based?  Why are you asking us and not NASA or the Pres?

  6. I'm sure they would be open to your suggestion for

    an unequivocal test.

    Remember those 'life bearing meteorites'....

(yes it was, ....no it wasn't...yes it was.... no it....)

  7. Not enough Evidence

  8. They haven't! They've been trying to find a definitive answer for the last 40 YEARS! Its not as simple as sending probe A to find life form B. First you have to work out what to make said probe look for, what type of life form would probably exist...theres so many variables it takes time and paticence.

  9. You can't trust Nasa.  everyone assumes they are always honest.

  10. I do believe that Viking was sent to examine the soil for microbial life. There have never been any sort of microscopes sent there, but Viking 1, Viking 2, and the Phoenix lander have all landed successfully on Mars, and contain experiments designed specifically to analyze the soil at their landing sites for evidence of life.

There was one experiment on the Viking missions which still has some controversy about the results, as to whether they're evidence of life or not. However, nothing conclusive has ever been found proving the existence of life there.

I think Beagle was also supposed to be searching for signs of life, but it crashed.
