First, you buy the right and not let anyone talk about the match. At least show the d**n match before we even see the score anywhere on the internet. They're showing some stupid show instead of Wimbledon...

  1. I know... NBC coverage is absolutely the worst. The first week I have been watching the tennis on ESPN and they used to start at 7am where I live so we would always get to see the match live. Now thats it's the second week, Wimbledon is no where to be found on ESPN where I live and I am forced to watch delayed coverage of the matches on stupid NBC.

Another thing that frustrates the h**l out of me with NBC. I don't know about you guys but when the grandslams come around I will sit and watch every match from first round to the finals. And what annoys the h**l out of me is that final moment when the champion is crowned. It's that one moment you wait for that makes you watch the entire tournament and every match. I like to see the Champion hold their trophy, do their victory dance on the court, run up to the stands to meet and greet their family and everything else. And its that exact moment where NBC takes like a million commercial breaks.

Last month I am watching the French Open finals. NBC dragged the presentation ceremony for another half an hour after the match had long ended. Luckily for me, I have two ESPNs with my cable package and when I flipped the station, as soon as Ana and Rafael had won match point, the ceremony quickly got started and finished up in like 10 minutes. NBC interrupted everything with their boring repeat commercials over and over, and it felt like a frigging hour had past since the winners hit the winning shot.

  2. Yeah, I agree excpet that it may be that there are to many matches that they can only play one at a time.  So they manily choose the best plaer that is playing...  I think

  3. yeah I don't understand that at all- ESPN at least shows the matches live.

And the Tennis Channel isn't all that better sometimes. I've been very disappointed with the Tennis Channel sometimes. I was so excited when I signed up and they have not shown a lot of tourneys. ESPN showed most of Wimbledon which I can understand so that everyone can see it. But if that's the case then don't go around calling yourself the "home of the grand slams" because it's a bold face lie. Sure they played the French and Australian Open and I loved it. I really hope they play the US Open since USA won't be anymore.

My other problem with the Tennis Channel is that I expected them to show other tournaments more often than they do. Of course sometimes they cannot be live because of location but at least show them. Instead they play a 3 or 4 yr old Davis cup over and over again. Two times is enough. The player interview shows and things like that are nice but they are shown too much when some tourneys could be played.

  4. I know! My family got so frustrated with it that we got the Tennis channel. They replay everything about a zillion times, but at least we get to see the matches as they're happening. And for a couple days after that. :P

  5. Just don't watch it on NBC eventually if their ratings go low enough it will have to switch networks.  This is what I do.
