Why is NBC taking heat for their diving coverage last night?

Why are they taking the heat for not showing the g*y divers family and boyfriend? Why is that their job? I don't honestly get it.

If you have shown other athletes with their families and choose not to because of a person's sexuality, then I believe it is called discrimination, which is SUPPOSED to be something of a no no in the USA.

interesting, may be it wasn't intentional and viewer was just too sensitive. Here's an interesting thing, Kylie from Aussie tv show off the front page of a local chinese newspaper. The whole front page was dedicated to Matthew Mitcham - they love him. The only person able to stop the chinese claiming all 8 diving gold medals.

so now Chinese is more open than the Americans ? what universe is this :-)

I am not sure either.  IMHO we are watching diving to see the performance of the athletes, not to see who someone is sleeping with.

Maybe the executives are not ready to face reality. We're here, we're q***r, get used to it!

I did see the boyfriend flashed up on my TV for a moment though.
