  1. Cos they give a toss about Independence and freedom, and they care about being able to decide their own destiny ............

In other words.......... The EU commies havent been able to Manoeuvre one of their Puppet stooges into any powerful positions in Norway so that they can Sell out their own country to the United socialist states of Europe........... Like they have here.

Gordon Brown and David Milliband should Get Life in Jail for signing that constitution !

  2. Their choice.

  3. Because they don't want to be. Plus they are already one of the wealthiest countries in the world. Why would they want to change anything? :-)

  4. The Norwegians voted against it. Most countries never gave the people the chance to vote on it.

They have their own oil and are virtually self sufficient in energy and have a great tourist industry so they don't really need the EU.

Many other countries like Ireland have done pretty well out of it, and some countries like France and Germany would have big problems without the EU because of their export orientated economies.

  5. Because their penguin king won't allow it:

  6. The main reasons is that Norway's main exports are Oil, and fishery produce.

This means that Norway is massively rich because of its oil revenues which means that that commodity will be sold regardless of tariffs and other free trade.

As for fisheries, it would be bound by the Common Fisheries Policy which prevents over fishing and limits quotas.

At the moment, Norway's economy is quite different to the Eurozone members and adoption of the Euro would mean monetary policy will be set by the European Central Bank.

Arguments about democratic deficit dont hold up much weight as members of the EEA they are bound to respect the same trading rules as other EU states and have no say in the matter, unlike Switzerland which does this on a case by case basis.

  7. They don't want to see their national income dissipated to other countries who join just to get a jump start into a more prosperous state, or whose leaders fancy becoming the lord of the empire.

  8. Norway is part of the EEA (European Economic Area)  which is a sensible compromise.  This is the sort of economic collaborative organisation which the common market should have become and remained.

  9. Not stupid as us.

  10. Simpl they got moor sensce than let mee ad my famly taking from theym

  11. Because they wanted to keep their own way of life, not be dictated to and retain control over their oil and gas fields.

Have you noticed how the Pro Europeans never talk about Norway despite telling us they would be poor relations to the rest of us by not signing their country and values away?

  12. Sensible springs to mind.

  13. In 1994 the people of Norway voted not to join the EC although the Norwegian government had applied to for may years. The Norwegian poeple would not have benefitted from membership and they would have been powerless to control immigration.

  14. To join the EU you have to follow certain EU standards and adopt certain EU policies.  Just like the UK is not a part of the EU it is not surprising that some other countries would choose not to join.  Norway has been doing pretty well on their own, I'm pretty sure they chose to do what was best for their country.

  15. Because they are sensible.....amazing how their economy hasn't collapsed like the Euro fanatics predict will happen to anyone that leaves the EU.

  16. Because they have loads of oil & did not need to be.

Edit - and such did know if they were their quality of life would fall.
