Why is Obama hiding his Arab ancestry?

I'm an Arab-American...a minority...a tax-paying citizen. I know the controversy surrounding my familys ethnicity...yet I'm not too cowardly to admit it! There's alot of history involved...lot's of uprootings of the Arab people all across Asia, Africa, even Europe...but that doesnt disguise the fact that many people today from these areas are mixed with Arab intruders. Now, my question is....since its now widely known that Barack Obama's paternal ancestry is rooted in Arab culture and is related to the Arab slave trade in Kenya in the 1800's, why is he so quick to ignore this fact and choose to be known as an "African-American" instead? His race doesnt matter to me either way...whether he's green, purple, black, white, brown, or whatever....so dont start calling me racist...because thats rediculous! But it seriously rubs me wrong that he's chosen to discount his true background...and instead embrace the 8% african roots that he thinks the American people will be more inclined to vote for??? Its very nearly offensive to me...almost like its too embarrassing or cross-culture or politically suicidal to define yourself as an Arab descendant. Im proud of my heritage...and being an Arab doesnt make you a terrorist...but I feel like HE thinks that it would...I dont know....its disturbing...

Any input? Particularly thats not all...black vs white....rep vs dems...muslim vs christian....thats not the issue.

Obama doesn't look Arab, he looks African American.

He is in no way Arab, I see Arabs and they don't look at all like Obama.

Arabs look more like Hispanics, Obama looks like he is from Africa not from the middle east.

Benny Hinn the preacher is Arab and Israeli and looks it.

Obama is not Arab. His Fater was from Kenya and was Black African. His mother was American, of European ancestry. His father was a Muslim and his mother was a Christian. She was in the denomination known as the "Church of Christ". If Obama was part Arab, it would have been revealed a long time ago. Since it is trendy these days to be an "po' little oppressed Arab", then he would have played tha "I am an oppressed minority" card in the beginning of his bid to run for president.

You will never convince the Obamites that their glorious leader is anything other than what he pretends to be. They've bought into his story hook, line, and sinker, and will follow him all the way to the end, desperately ignoring any and all hints that he may be lying. Those of us who can see through his carefully woven web of lies can see the truth he is frantically trying to hide, but Democrats are skilled liars and their followers are notoriously gullible beyond any reasonable belief.
