I don't know about you, but I don't own between 4-15 homes. That kind of wealth is elitist; don't kid yourself.

  1. Another clueless liberal.  Money has nothing to do with being an elitist.  Most college professors are elitists.

To help out a liberal - think of an elitist as someone who thinks they are morally, intellectually, spirtually, superior to eveyone.  That hanging out with terrorists makes you better than the rest because they alone are smart enough to understand "the stuggle".  Elitists don't typically join the military, fight in wars, or spend 5 years in prison camps.  Has Hemmingway an elitist, he had lots of money.  BTW, I missed the part in your definition where 7 homes makes you an elitist.

Think of it as supreme arrogance of self rightousness.  You know, like Obama.

  2. They both have the wealth, why sling mud at each other over obvious facts?  Aren't there more important issues at hand?

  3. The way McCain is going to cut the taxes for rich tells that he is going to care for only his class.

  4. He also wears $520 shoes.  $400 haircuts are talked about 24/7, but if you're a neocon, you get a free pass to be an elitist!

  5. because obama wants to be president of what his pastor refers to as 'USKKK.'

and he doesn't know how many states there are

  6. How the word "elitist" applies in the context of what is called "progressive thought" or "progressivism"---

in the context of progressivism, an "elite" would be someone who believes that he or she, along with a small groups of other "elites," possesses the knowledge needed to transform society and even human nature. For them, evil is the result of a poorly organized world that they alone have the ability to reorganize in accordance with progressive ideas, and thus usher in a "New Age" of freedom, equality, and peace.

the "elite" would be sort of like the seers, the priests, in a "religion of humanity" in which faith in a transcendent moral order is replaced by faith in science, technology, reason, etc.; "service to mankind" takes the form of CHANGE to institutions (outer reform/bureaucracy vs. inner individual spiritual reform); the pursuit of a "Great Society" achieved by more centralized and pervasive government.

  7. McCain doesn't refer to us as clinging to guns and religion.  Obama is arrogant.

    definition of arrogant:

1 : exaggerating or disposed to exaggerate one's own worth or importance often by an overbearing manner

2 : proceeding from or characterized by arrogance

  8. so is 4.5 mil a year...

  9. Elitism is an attitude, not a financial classification

  10. In my opinion, being an elitist is a state of mind, not a financial state.

  11. having wealth doesn't make you elitist, your VIEWS make you elitist. Try coming up with an intelligent argument and ill get back to you.

  12. Not elitist..

    A socialist..

Socialists would make a big deal out of someone elses personal wealth and then give their verdict on how to redistribute it..

Sounds like the Obama camp to me.

  13. They aren't all homes he lives in.  They are investments in his wife's portfolio, similar to the stocks and bonds you might own in a 401k or a retirement account.  Sure he's rich, just like every senator in Washington.  He's not even the richest by far.

So he doesn't know how many houses were in his wife's real estate portfolio.  Big whooping deal.

An elitist isn't necessarily wealthy, nor is a wealthy person necessarily elitist.  You definition has to take into account the elitist art snob that may be starving, but still considers himself to have more  class or stature than the average person.  Or the quiet, humble millionare who lives a life out of the public eye, but is very hospitable and generous in private (not an elitist).

All politicians are elitist by definition: they believe themselves far enough above ordinary people to be the ones to govern them.  So are just more so than others.

  14. No that is not defined as an elitist. Thinking that you are better than someone else, smarter makes you an elitist. IE "Those working class cling to there guns and their religion.

  15. He doesn't know because his wife owns them for family and real estate investments.
