Why is Obama so obsessed with Biden being from Scranton?

He left here when he was 10 years old because his father couldn't find work. And his father wouldn't be able to find work here today.

Scranton was just named to the top 10 of a Forbes list.

Impressive? Not really. The list comprised the top ten cities that were dying with no immediate sign of recovery.

Take a scenic ride through Scranton. Be careful to avoid the potholes and notice the condition of the properties as you pass. We may not be dying, we might be dead.

Visit Nay Aug Park which is touted as a local attraction. The "zoo" is deplorable and you have to cry for the animals who are confined there in tiny cages with toddler toys. Make sure that you check the hours that the museum is opened because you might not hit that window of opportunity.

If Scranton is all that Biden has to offer to the Obama ticket, people should really start asking questions. Such as: If Biden is such a supporter of Scranton, Why are we in the 20% poverty bracket?

He's trying to win the Pennsylvania vote and thats all he has to do so.  Hillary won there.

Because Scrantron is a dump and he thinks people will like Biden more if he doesn't seem like he was always an old rich guy.

PA is a swing state; Obama and his advisers probably feel that since Biden is from PA, it will help him win the state.

He's using Biden to get votes in Pennsylvania but that's not wrong but McCain using Palin to get some women votes is. Hypocrites.

In addition to what others have said, there's also the fact that if we focus on the fact he's from DELAWARE, then we realize that his constituency is just about as small as Governor Palin's.
