Why is Ohio State getting all the hate when Oklahoma didn't?

Let me explain. Ohio State has lost twice in national titles. Once to Florida, Once to LSU. And really, the lost to LSU, while bad, wasn't a blow out. Now, look at Oklahoma. 2003 and 2004, trips to the BCS title, once while they lost to Kansas State in the Big Twelve Championship! In 2003, they lost a close game to LSU, 7 point loss. But in 2004, they got outright thumped by USC, 55 to 19, a wider point loss then Florida beat OSU. OSU lost by a combined 41 points, while Oklahoma lost by a combined 43. So why is Ohio State getting so much hate, when Oklahoma lost too? And they also had a Heismen winning QB in their first loss, in Jason White.

They are not getting any hate from me. I respect OSU and what they have done. They have a great team. They just got matched up with two teams in LSU and Florida that exploited them. Otherwise they are a great team.

apparently you didn't watch the LSU/OSU game. LSU dominated in all phases of the game.

Anyway people are hating on the Big Ten so much, b/c of all the favoritism the media shows them. Look at ESPN's gameday panel for example, the entire panel is big ten

I think the Big 12 is just as overrated as the Big 10 to be honest.

Good question. Basically, it's Big-Ten jealousy. These recent past 2 or 3 years have been the first time that the SEC has been able to keep up with the Big-10 (I say "keep up with", not dominate, as we all saw the Michigan/Florida and Wisconsin/Tennessee games). Knowing this, southerners are coming out of the wood-work making SEC t-shirts and banners and having SEC parades and every team in the SEC is sending love letters to every other team in the SEC about how total awesome they all are because they're in the SEC, etc, etc, etc. These people arn't even fans of one specific team anymore. It's kind of weird and homo-erotic. It's like just because LSU won the championship, all of the sudden the heinously bad teams in the SEC (which there are quite a few of; Vanderbilt, Mississippi, Miss State, S. Carolina, Arkansas, etc etc etc) suddenly think that makes them better than OSU by default.    Makes.No.Sense.

It's not even hate on OSU as much as it's them trying to get down on the Big-10 while they can. It doesn't really make any sense, but then again, the south is also responsible for our nations entire illiteracy rate, so what can you do?

And as for "Dark Side Of The Moon" above me, The Big Ten doesn't have 12 teams, we have 11, which is less & "uneven", so splitting into two conferences & having a championship would be pretty stupid. Furthermore (as "the Dude" pointed out), the Big-12 is far more overrated than the Big-10. I'll take OSU, Michigan, PSU, & Wisconsin over OU, Kansas, Nebraska, & Texas any day of the week (as do most prominent sports casters and/or anyone who has actually watched college football for longer than the last 3 or 4 years). The only conference more overrated than the Big 12 is the Pac-10, which basically consists of a dominant USC, a decent Oregon, and then ten total c**p-bomb teams.

I'm an Oklahoma fan so before I even give my answer I pretty sure you  are not going to agree with me

Okay in 2003 I admit that was messed up OU should have been on its way to the cotton bowl at the least maybe that year they should have snuck into a BCS bowl game but it shouldn't have been the National Championship

2004 Oklahoma was great they did deserve to be in that game but however once they got their they just fell to pieces and played their worse all season year just like OSU did against Florida they were a good team that didn't play their best in the biggest game of the year for them

So why does OSU get all the hate instead of OU its simple really conference respect the Big 10 is a good confernce with a lot of history but lets face it if you compared the Big 12 to the Big 10 most people are going to say the Big 12 is better and a tougher conference to get through undefeated another things is there isn't a conference championship which is just one less game OSU doesn't have to play that OU does

With all that being said if I had to choose two teams to be in the National Championship game my choice would be Oklahoma vs. Ohio State

Oklahoma got as much hate at that time as Ohio State is getting now, if not more. You probably just didn't notice it since you're not an Oklahoma fan.
