Given i'm a hunter and have been one since i was 6 its just away of life for my family. But when i hear of stuff like that or another story about peta bothering duck hunter by hiring a band on a boat to play when there hunting it seems like there trying to fight people and have no understanding of peoples there ways of lives. For many people i no the animals they hunt get there familys threw winter. 1. PETA...............aren't they a head ache?????  what next for them?   i wish they would just go away and never to be seen again...and they get away with the c**p they do.......

  2. Because you enjoy hurting animals.

  3. Well, what she & others are doing to save animals clash with the way of life you’re used to. As you say, you and others have followed certain traditions for generations. Some hunt for fun, for others it’s a livelihood. You’re pissed off because of the emotional attachments to the habits, and to the past.

Animal rights people want to rescue endangered species, etc, and they are just as emotionally attached to their cause for the future. They’ve adopted an aggressive approach to change, and the traditionalists are just as aggressive in their resistance.

Neither side is willing to see the other’s view. The point is habits die hard. Besides people may be encouraged to a different way of life only when there are suitable alternatives to adopt. But without negotiations it’s a win-lose situation where neither side wants to give an inch. Thus conflict flares and the standoff continues...

  4. PETA is EVIL!!!

Keep in mind that PETA also wants to kill all pit bulls because their owners must be immoral dogfighters that abuse their animals...thanks, but I love my pit and would never dream of hurting him!

PETA says that my 120lb self riding my 1600lb horse with no bit or saddle is "cruel".

They are not for the ethical treatment of anything, they would rather millins of people and companion animals die than for humans and animals to coexist peacefully.

PETA: Kills 90% of the animals they take in, including many that vets say are healthy to be adopted out. They have roaming "kill vans".

SPCA: Adopts out 70% of the animals they take in.

The sad thing is, most people that join PETA have no idea that they're funding terrorist groups. Go check it out, PETA is not nice. They are cruel and WRONG.

  5. While I understand PETA is trying to stand up for animal rights, they tends to take things a bit far and I agree, oftentimes it gets annoying.

I agree, the "drink beer instead of milk" thing is kind of stupid, BUT dairy cows aren't always treated great, which is what PETA is trying to prevent... for example:

I saw a documentary a while back ('The Corporation') that showed these cows with awful, swollen utters. Turns out these cows were being given steroids to increase milk production, EVEN THOUGH companies were asking farmers to DECREASE milk production because too much was being produced at one time! Yet farmers kept milking their cows! It was really awful. (Also, because the cows were bring milked so much, their utters began to have sores/pus, which oftentimes could end up in the milk. Gross eh?)

All I'm saying is that while PETA is maybe annoying, they are just trying to speak up for those that can't speak up for themselves.

  6. I agree with peta not wanting people to hunt for the fun of it, but when they try and get things like kosher/halal slaughter banned then they're being a bunch of blockheads.

  7. PETA SUX AND NEEDS TO WORRY ABOUT THEIR OWN LIVES AND BUTT OUT OF OTHERS AND STOP TRYING TO IMPOSE THEIR HIDEOUS IDEAS ON EVERYONE ELSE!  I LOVE TO EATING MEAT AND DRINKING MILK AND NOTHING WILL EVER CHANGE THAT!!

  8. PETA is out to get you specifically.

They have some good ideas but go overboard in wanting everyone to think exactly what they think.  I think they all grew up in the city or suburbs with no guns or violence or hunting background.  So, I like some of their ideas but they go way too far in personal attacks.  I thought the ad about drinking beer was funny.
