Why is Palin attempting to delay the Troopergate probe? What does she have to hide?

Palin's lawyer is now trying to delay the Alaska state legislature's probe into Palin's possible abuse of her office in the Troopergate probe, saying that Palin wants another state body to investigate her instead. The results of the legislature's investigation were due on OCTOBER 31st, just days before the November election. Hmmmmmm.

In addition, it was revealed today that Palin wrote emails criticizing her brother-in-law to the head of the Department of Public Safety which contradicts her prior assertion that she made no contacts regarding him. Hmmm again.

Does Sarah Palin know the truth and does she want this cleared up? If so, why is she trying to stall the investigation?

  1. Her attorney wants to confirm who has jurisdiction before proceeding.

  2. Are you kidding?

She  is figuring if she can slow them down for six months she will have Executive Immunity to prosecution.

  3. I find it hard to believe that you would rather defend a man that tazered his 11 year old son, pulled a gun and threaten to kill his father-in-law.  How pathetic.

  4. Tom Brokaw( not a fan of republicans) has already stated the troopergate scandal is a nonissue and nothing illegal was done

I cant wait to see you Obama supporters call Brokaw a republican agent

    The guy was never fired

He was offered a different position and he chose to resign

    Try a new attack

None have worked so far on the " Teflon Mom"

  5. She isn't hiding anything she needs to campaign for John McCain she doesn't have time for nonsense.  I can't blame the lady for complaining about a man that used a taser gun on her nephew and threaten the life of her father.

Oh sorry, I forgot that liberals normally don't provide the facts but rather a distortion of them.

  6. 1.Every time a 19, 23, 30 year old criminal dies here in Maryland from being hit with a Taser, the Leftists call for a ban on Taser use by police.

2.Most people (maybe even those on the left), believe police shouldn’t drink in their police cars

3.Most people view poaching (illegal hunting) as a crime, many on the Left want to ban hunting outright.

4.When a police officer threatens the life of an innocent person (when not being threatened) most people view it as a crime

5.Most people believe that police officers are not suppose to abuse their power.

6.Every time a soldier in the field does something perceived to be illegal, the Left calls for an investigation and demands action be taken against someone higher up the chain of command (regardless of the outcome of the investigation), most high ranking officials serve at the pleasure of the chief executive (Governor or President). I would expect the same types of calls for action in the case of a state trooper abusing their authority.

The trooper at the center of these allegations used a taser on an 11 YEAR OLD, he was caught drinking in his police car, he was charged with hunting out of season (poaching) and he threatened the life of his father-in-law. He abused his power, he should not be a State Trooper. No normal person would think otherwise. Oh and by the way, the fired public service commissioner said Palin never told him to fire the trooper (more likely investigate and take appropriate action). The trooper did not loose his job, someone high up in the chain of command did (probably someone who serves at the will of the Governor). This should not even be an issue!

Edit: So, "It is not about her brother-in-law's behavior, it is about her conduct in trying to pressure the DPS and then denying doing so. You all are trying to deflect the real issue which is did she abuse the powers of her office."...

I think someone with a badge and a gun running around on the loose IS the issue.  I also think that an elected executive has the right to reassign an at-will appointee at their own descretion.  If she offered the guy another position because he was not protecting the public, Governor Palin did her job as intended.

  7. because she secretly new McCain was going to pick her and she is hiding things NOT look she asked for an investigation people just did not do one i guess the only one worried about it is people who are scared she will be vp

  8. I think that she has already been caught in a whole bunch of lies. I don't think that she has any experience or credibility and I am wondering why she was ever chosen in the first place. She is a terrible choice. Couldn't mcsame come up with anyone better than a moose hunting soccer mom. Although, she is a good breeder and sells on eBay she has never been out of the US and didn't even have a passport. She can hunt and fish better than any man and claims to have stopped the bridge to no where. However, I don't believe that she fired her cook and cooks all her own meals.

I don't think this troopergate thing will go away unless she promises him some soft job with a big salary if she is elected. Which probably has already happened.
