Why is Pelosi looking sorry about us winning WW2?

Sadami Naganishi, 73, of Hiroshima, said she was just glad to see Pelosi at the memorial. She hopes the G-8 officials' visit to the city leads to heightened recognition of the horrors of the atomic bomb and greater commitment toward eradicating the world of nuclear weapons.

"I hope they see what happened here and take that back to their countries," said Naganishi, whose father died of a bomb-related illness several years after the war. "The bomb shattered my family. It changed our whole lives."

Someone should remind those Japanese that if they hadn't started the war and been acting like animals, they wouldn't have gotten the bombs. Frankly, looking at what they did to our POWs and the Chinese, they got off light.

She looks appropriately solemn.  I agree that it was Japan's fault that we had to bomb them, but there is no reason to smile about it.  My grandfather fought in the Pacific theater in some of the worst spots, like Guadalcanal.  He came home alive, but dead inside.  Japan got what they had coming to them, but again, there is no reason to be cheerful about it.

Yes.  A little known fact was the Japanese soldiers cannibalism of American POW's.  Read the book "Flyboys" and you'll learn about this barbarism.

Maybe Nancy would be appalled if she learned some actual facts about history.
