  1. Look Prince is the best player in the mlb but he's had a minor setback this year wait til next year

  2. because he needs to lose some weight

  3. Prince is not a great player who can put great consecutive years together. He may make some adjustments and have a better year next year but he has not proved to be a great player, yet.

  4. During the offseason, he became a vegetarian and it could be that.

    Who knows?

We should ask him- just hope he doesn't push or shove you- that would hurt.

    Feel bad for Manny Parra.

  5. cuz' he thinks he's hot chit!,and the Brewers bite the big one!

  6. Prince should start eating cows again.

  7. You're right. If you don't eat meat, you are a lot weaker. He became a vegetarian. Prince was always a power hitter. When you take some of that power out of the equation, you would become pretty mediocre. He won't be as strong as he was without eating meat...it just won't happen.

And I dunno. Cecil and Prince don't talk to each other. I don't think Cecil would approve of most of the things Prince does. They already had a big falling out (which was really brought on by Prince), and they are no longer on speaking terms.

  8. I don't think it is because he isn't eating meat, but it could be NL pitching has figured him out, are pitching around him, or he is just out of shape.  Sometimes, players have off years, he isn't going to hit 50 long balls every year.

  9. His dad doesn't even care. Prince is just a big tub of goo. If you are a vegetarian & no longer eat meat. You should at least WOK OUT!! He obviously drinks too much POP. I didn't know a baseball uniform could be stretched as much as the Brewers uniforms. When did they start making them in spandex?  Maybe he 's wearing David Wells hand me downs.

  10. quit eating meat ,lost his power.

  11. Is that you Manny Parra? Posting to make Prince look bad again?

.280, 25, 65 isn't all that bad. I think it's more a case of how good he was last year during his "career-year" and now he is settling back to what will be his norm. Somewhere around 35 HR, 100+ RBI for the year.

I don't think it's vegetarian-related. He will have top nutritionists guiding him to make sure he is getting the proteins and essential amino acids he needs from other sources.

I think his weight is a factor though. Bigger men tend to break down earlier (you hear me Mo Vaughn?)

  12. if you ask me, when your 5th in the NL MVP voting, and hit 50 homers in a season, changing your diet any way is kinda odd.

  13. He has a strained relationship with his father. He cannot concentrate on his playing.

  14. Pretty much all of his stats are in line with his career averages.  At this point, it's probably more logical to regard his '08 season as being unusually good rather than something being wrong.  Players have years above their regular talent level as often as they have bad ones - it happens.  By any standards, 25 HR with a .280 average and .895 OPS are very good numbers.
