  1. hes nans got a spare one in the draw

  2. medal for what ...for gods sake?

shooting a gun at a few peasants... that is very brave

  3. he should get a medal he worked for it

  4. Receiving a campaign medal is fairly routine & has been since World War One. Its not only Harry that will be getting a medal.

  5. Its a campaign medal

  6. Prince Harry, in common with all service personnel sent into action, is getting a public recognition of the fact he has served his Queen and country.

YES he deserves the medal - he has earned it, after all.  He not only fought whilst over there, he had to fight to go.  Good on him.  Wish there were more like him.

  7. lol John C.. 'theatre of conflict' sounds great.....****starring Prince Harry***** as.....

  8. I never knew that...

  9. You go to Helmand in Afghanistan and walk around with the guys - then come back and answer your own question!!! Prince Harry was on the frontline getting shot at and risking his life. I don't particularly agree with the reasons that the troops are out there - but, by God, they deserve more than a medal! Most of the troops out there are on 15grand a year!!!!

  10. Lolly is right by answers above. But I've some other explanations: think it in a simple way:  An army person is sent to do his normal duty to a war field & what would happen to our brothers, sisters, sons or daughters or close relatives? Is there any provision to return them back? NO!!!! It's only a 'FASHION' to return back that so-called Harry, as he's not like us, who's not the guy like us to prepare lives to sacrifice for the good. It's so amazing to think of the so-called Royal Family Member! As if we were to die like 'guinea pig' at war-lab test, not the sons of the Queen's family. I wonder what would happen if Mr. Bush had a son to be in Iraq or Afganistan! I wonder The USA civilians yet unaware of all these! Okay, nothing to worry about! We know YOU all. CHEERS! Let Harry get the MEDAL! (can you feel what I'm suppose to do now?)

  11. Whatever he has done, is enough. There was a risk, maybe small but nevertheless still present.. Think he would have stayed longer if allowed. Good guy, more than can be said for others. I think all MPs should do Military service before they take office then they just may have an idea what it is like.

  12. ur joking he is just a drunken lay about

  13. Why shouldn't he? He has qualified for it.

  14. Getting a medal is normal, and why shouldn't he! Would you go out there? Sounds easy doesn't it,  just shooting & dogging a though bullets/bombs, seeing things that you rather not, missing family, comfy living, working 24/7 in that enviroment while supporting the other lads emotionally? You then come home & have to re-ajust to normal life! Even the sound of a banging door/firework makes you dive for cover. There are lots of phycological issues that lots of our service people have to LIVE with after this experience. I think it was good for our boys out there to know that he (being who he is) was willing to do what they have to do, and put his life in danger for grandma and country! He only came home because of the media, once they found out it was them (the media) that put Harry at risk meaning our boys were at higher risk. Until the media got involved Harry was doing what any other officer out there would do, he has the same duties!

Learn something about serving before judging!

  15. Why did the guy beside him get one. Why did the man fixing the tank 2 mile down the road get one?

Cause they served in a war.

  16. yes it is normal

everyone who has been to serve in Afganistan will get one

  17. Because he is a hero but he is really just an ordinary guy and we should hand the state over to him and use the army to crush die Untermenschen.  Whoops, sorry, something ist dort schlecht gegangen,  d**n, I did it again.

  18. Generally servicemen/women get a medal for their service in a theatre of conflict..My wife got a gallantry medal(G.S.M)

for service in N.I., years ago..??

Edit..Unfortunately many of our young men come back damaged mentally....Shock from seeing action first hand and I know that The Taliban are actually fighting in "their" country so I understand both points of views.

Harry is now a target for extremists...that is something that few other servicemen would be. I also accept that Harry at least has bodyguards but he is the "higher" prize for fanatics...Just something to muse folks!!

  19. He spent sometime in the sandbox and shot a couple guns, when he doesn't have to. They reward him for his "Valor".
