  1. Dowdy?  She is not dowdy...  she is just traditional.  Some people are just not flamboyant.  It does not mean she is dowdy...

  2. She has better things to think about than clothes.

  3. She's just old-fashioned and conservative - the way she was raised to be.

  4. Dowdy? No,but more classic in her clothing preferneces, yes. It's her personal preference; Anne is a no-nonsense-type of country woman who prefers sportswear(she is an equestrian, who represented the UK in the Olympics) to tiaras. She likes the business part of being a princess, working with Save the Children(she is one of the presidents) and other organizations, rather than the fashionable aspects of royal life When she was younger, she dressed in fashionably short skirts and pant suits. Her stye has evolved into a mature, classic sportswear style. Anne does preder pantsuits and skirted suits, but when it is appropriate, she can dress very grandly for court occassions, preferring to wear white evening dresses, her tiara and other jewels from the Queen's collection.

  5. Well I could say something involving horses, but that would be rude.  She comes from a family of dowdy, unfortunately.  Let's hope Harry and Will turn things around.  Oh, and Camilla isn't so great either.  I would think the royal family would have stylists.

  6. I don't consider Princess Anne dowdy at all. She is very matter-of-fact and has that no-nonesence atitude towards everything, but dowdy? I think not. For me, those qualities make the Princess one of the favourite members of the Royal Family, and someone I would love to have as friend.

She's probably the hardest working, and least credited member of the Royal Family. And I'll tell you this: look at the kids she's raised and the great relationships she has with her ex-husband. Peter and Zara are probably the best represantatives of the younger Royals: Peter is a down-to-eath man, who managed to separate his private and public roles, and is, by all accounts, a very good person. Zara is an acclaimed sportswoman in her own right (World and European Chamion, and Olympics hopeful), down-to-earth and very nice person. The biggest scandal you can associate with either of them, was the fact Zara had her tongue pierced.
