  1. Because other's are getting better... younger chaps who sucked a few years ago.... not the old garbage (blake, davy, roddick, youzhny, robredo, etc) that's been around since he himself has been around.

  2. he is lowing down with age

  3. Because Rafael Nadal is taking over.

  4. He wasn't playing very well in the beginning of the season because that mono was really zapping his energy. But he was still going to the quarters and semi's of every tournament he's played in so his game hasn't really suffered that much. Fed definitely has gotten better now you can tell in the way he's playing, he's focused and working himself back to the way he was before he got sick. That's why I pick Fed to win the remaining grandslams, he'll have the motivation and drive to shutup all his critics.

  5. Because he wasn't playing real good, but he start to play better after he lost to Andy Roddick.  Plus, he is getting older!  And younger player is trying to take over him! And no one is perfect.

  6. he isn't. He went thru a rought patch at the start of the year, he was sick and wasn't playing that well. Then... clay season hit, he hired a coach. he won estoril, made it to finals of monte carlo (on the way beating djokovic) and challenged nadal. right now hes looking at the quaters of rome (which is as far as he made it last yr) and he has a reall oppertunity to win this one (and he never has before). the man went thru a rough path for sure, but hes back in form now.

  7. I remember thinking last year, when he was 25 going on 26, that most tennis players start to decline at 26. Six months later, his decline is evident. I still feel he will win Wimbledon this year and, if he stays healthy, next year as well.

  8. well, Federer will be have a advantage bcuz Rafa didnt won at Rome and he loss points, but i think Rafa will win the French Open and hopefully Wimbledon.

  9. Like Tiger Woods, Roger Federer used to be a legend among tennis players everywhere, but he is loosing is domination and growing old. He is changing from a legendary number 1 to the regular just barely number one. Djanko and Nadal are catching up quick

  10. Uzair it is called growing older.

As we age we loose a step, or loose a few MPH off our serve.

Roger has been so completely dominant on tour for so long that just because he is no longer that way people worry.

Look at the current ATP points.

    1st Federer , R.  6775

    2nd Nadal , R.  5930

    3rd Djokovic , N.  4750

    4th Davydenko , N.  3440

    5th Ferrer , D.  2780

    6th Roddick , A.  2260

    7th Nalbandian , D.  2110

    8th Blake , J.  1965

    9th Gasquet , R.  1690

    10th Berdych , T.  1615

Roger is still kicking everybody's butt.

Do you think that that lil putz Nole who is 2000 ATP points behind him is going to catch up and pass him anytime soon. NO. Nole will retire from injuries while Roger is still #1 mark my words.

h**l Rafa isn't catching up to pass either. Davydenko is only half the man Roger is according to the ATP points and Davy is #4.

Rogers highest point level was Nov.20, 2006 so 1 year 6 months ago. He is faltering since he is not so dominant or is it because he has more competion now?

Rafa's highest was Jan.28,2008 and now 4 months later is down a little.

Nole's best was March 24, 2008 so just 2 months ago. He is down more than Rafa so is Nole done? Is he faltering is he over? Who knows. All I know is Roger is still the best in the world and has been for 223 consecutive weeks the longest run ever.

Since 2000 we have 6 players with over 5000 points whereas from '94-'99 we only had 2

what does that tell us. More players are capable of winning today. But look at Roger he is so dominant still and is the GOAT. (Greatest of all time)

  11. he is not he is still winning

  12. he couldnt be unbeatable for ever he kept on saying he was getting closer to beating nadal on clay but what about the fact that nadal is getting closer to beating him at wimbeldon i think nadal has more chance of winning wimbeldon this year than roger i like him but i think he lost speed and some of his accuracy and nadal is awesome even though i dont think rafa improved this year i hope he wins the french and at least wimbeldon or us open i hope so i love rafa

  13. beacuse what goes up must come down.

  14. Who says he is losing his game?

  15. yea he is not as impressive as he was in previous years but he still makes it to semis and still wins most of the time. he has to work harder now! but i think he can win alot more majors. he will end up with 20-25 majors!
