Why is Russia attacking Georgia in the middle of Olympics?

While Olympic games are going on there is a non spoken agreement to maintain peace in the whole world.

Am I right? Do you think Russian team should be disqualified?

  1. Georgia struck first, get your facts straight.

    Peace during the olympics? Bet you forgot about the guy that got stabbed  there.

    The Russian athletes have just as much countrol over their govt. as we do, they shouldn't be penalized at all.

  3. They should, but it's unlikely that they will be.  

  4. Sigh.  Georgia invaded the independent South Ossetia, a tiny state on the middle of Georgian soil.  The Russians have backed South Ossetia for quite some time, so naturally ran to their defense when they were attacked.

    Russia did not invade Georgia for the h**l of it.  I'm not advocating their actions in the war now, but understand that they were not the initial aggressors.

  6. to tell u the truth, there will never be peace during the olympics. theres always gonna be conflict. its the "our contry is better than your country" thing. trust me, the olympics is probably the reason why there is so much violence in the world.
