Why is Sachin Tendulkar regarded as mordern cricket's phenomina?

I dont understand why Tendulkar is hailed by so many as a cricket god, when other players of the mordern era have better career averages than he.( e.g Jaques Kallis, Ricky Ponting and Rahul Dravid ) Even if this fuss is based on his technique, how better is it from the other players with higher averages?

Sachin tendulker  is the great batsman that cricket world ever seen. He can play all the copy book shots effertlessly. He is the only man in comparison with Sr Donald bradman.He is the only man who had credits of 15000 or more runns in oneday matches and 42 centuries and more than 70  half centuries .He also hold almost all the records in test cricket also. Overall he is best technical batsman

Sachin had his days in the sun shine but if I have to select a player from a list of Sachin, Rohit Sharma, Ghambhir, Sehwag, Dhoni, or Yusuf Pathan. Sachin will be my last choice.

I do not think you have seen Sachin's record. Or even seen his skill as a 17 year old in Team India.

He made History.

Take his av of the rising years; only lately with injuries and age his av may have gone down.

It is not without reason that the whole Cricketing World hails him as great. Including the Great Donald Bradman.

I do not understand how you can even think of such a Q.

Well look at his record in the 90s aswell, then you add them up with the 21st century, and then you will see whos done better. Obviously Dravid and Ponting, were the premier batsmen since 2002-2006, then sachin since the last two years has had a great run. Kallis is also a great player, but he isnt of the same quality of Dravid, Ponting and the little master.
