Why is Sachin not retiring out gracefully, he is a champ but should retire before he looks foolish, AGREE????

Sachine has been a warrior of the game, one of crickets gentleman, unlike harbi and dhoni, he should be given a great send off, i read that Dhoni told officials if Sachin was bought back to team, then Dhoni would not play. why is Dhoni so unlike Sachin, did he learn nothing off the little master.

You can't concentrate on just one thing Dhoni said in ONE interview and steriotype him to be "ungentleman". Also, the ONLY reason Sachin Tendulkar in not playing in the Asia cup is because of an injury, thus proving your sources are inaccurate. What the heck do you mean he should retire before he looks foolish?? The previous series he played, he made a half-century in almost every match showing that he is still in form.

If you want to talk about Sachin, who is 34, why don't you talk about Jayasurya (39)?

I doubt Dhoni actually has spoken in such a way about Sachin. I think it's just an desperate attempt by the media to get some new on their hands. Since, cricket does rock our nation.

I think Sachin is just taking some time off to prevent injury. Don't worry, he will return. Sachin Tendulkar has annouced he will play until 2011 world cup. Which is only three years to go. He will not retire just yet.

Well, I hope he doesn't retire. Sachin has the potential to play until 40.

I think his country's selectors will indicate to him when it's time to go. So long as he is still getting runs & his health holds up I think he will stay.Having said that, I can picture the whole scale rioting,effigy burning etc if the said selectors DO suggest this to Sachin. Indians place too much faith in him and will feel terribly let down when he goes. They should appreciate the fact that due to recent injuries & his age, he may be very happy to retire.

Edit: I failed to give my opinion of Dhoni. He reminds me of how a new pup always tries his best to become leader of the pack, & constantly attacks the head dog. I feel Dhoni is afraid that Sachin will 'show him up' if he stays. I don't think Dhoni would be missed if he does opt out, but I feel Sachin will be.

I diagree.we want him to play the WC2011. as he is 35 yrs. old you want him to retire then what about those players who are of 38. he is also not playing bad when he comes to bat. he is just not playing due to injury orelse he plays good.
