Why is Sagrada Familia not finished yet?

The building is very complicated with a lot of ornaments and quite twisted geometry. Its much diferent than any contemporary building and rtequires special techniques (and lots of money). Gaudi (the architect) did not left complete plans. After the civil war (1936-39) the project was left and it started again relatively recently. It goes on quite fast but there is still a lot to do.

The truth is that Sagrada Familia is not finished yet because it´s built from donations and entrance prices. It´s a Cathedral so government in Catalonia can´t pay anything for its construction.... And It´s history a poor man started to build it like that no way to change.

still not finished? I was there in 1978 and its still not complete...I sure would like to know too.
