Well John Sammy Newman has done his job, his got the women's activists group jumping up and down and to put more fire to the fury has said what he has said.

I agree with you Women do invest a great deal into footy and I think you will find Sam knows this. But loves to get controversy going to get more ratings for the show.

At times I think he does go over the top and in fact can be quite brutal. But its not just women he tries to degrade, he also does it to males also.

Jason is one that I know and the ape episode well went a bit over the top and a bit to long for my liking.

I think that fame, at times goes to his head. But then he is a chauvinistic pig who lives up to his reputation every time.

It was a joke, Sammy is well known for his chauvinistic outbursts, and if viewers are offended by this they have the same opportunity as every s*x or race, to turn it off!!

Sam is not an idiot, everything he does is for the audience. i don't see what the big deal is about the mannequin. it was funny and i don't see ratings drop because of it.   Do u see Jason Dunstall jumping up and down and writhing letters into chanel 9 about Sam's ongoing joke with the ape outfit, and the ape pictures (another gender based joke)..  no... why because he realises that its all for entertainment and he deals with it in his own way.   people just need to relax a bit, and find a sense of humour. something that lacks a fair bit in this country at the moment, a large part due to political correctness taken a bit to seriously.
