I believe I saw this on CNN 2 days ago that Palin and others in the Oil Industry are or had attempted to keep the Polar Bear off the Endangered Species List.

  1. Really?

  2. It seems she is representing her Inuit constituents who are being victimized by rapid growth in the polar bear population.

Rapid growth in polar bear population’s is causing loss of income and food supply to Inuit communities and they request the hunting season be extended and allowing more bears to be taken.

  3. The polar bears are not endangered; they are threatened. Despite what the pit bull with lipstick said about all the oil on the North Slope, she still wants to rape ANWR to get all the oil while she can spend the income. It's easy to talk abour giving money to the people of your state when so much gets poured in by Big Oil.

This is hardly CNN invention and you don't have to work for the petroleum industry to benefit from it.

  4. No they were taken off the list because there population has increased 300%.

  5. lets put the grand oil party on the extinct list by not voting bushists like McSame and his gal into office

  6. If there is no polar bear there is no protected are,and no protected are means free for all the oil companies to dig for cheap oil!!!!

  7. THE POLAR BEAR IS NOT ON THE ENDANGER SPECIES LIST.

environuts asked to have the polar bear put on the list just in case there is global warming. NOT TO STOP DRILLING, WE CAN DRILL IN ANWR EVEN WITH THEM LISTED. The environuts want to shutdown construction of all power plants that use fossil fuel.

  8. It would limit where they could drill. It was on NPR or one of those News Radio shows yesterday.

  9. Maybe they aren't endangered?  Perhaps polar bears will just shift their range with the shift in the ice pack and be just fine.  It's not like they don't know how to hunt and kill stuff on dry land.

  10. it could be just propaganda made by cnn, they are pro obama

  11. Sarah Palin is scientifically illiterate and, as a result, denies the massive scientific consensus of man-made global warming.  She therefore, presumably, denies anything that proves it is happening - such as clear evidence that Arctic ice cover has fallen to record lows.  She is also deeply religious and this is a common cause of denial of scientific reality.

Although polar bear numbers are currently high, with the increased melting of Arctic ice they will soon be struggling to survive.  That is why they are on the endangered list.

With the bears protected, it would interfere with Palin's desire to drill in Alaska (she believe her god wants her to put pipelines across Alaska!).  She has strong ties with the oil industry and her husband works for an oil company.  She's therefore motivated by greed and justifies it all by denial of scientific reality and a view that wildlife is provided purely for sport (she shoots wolves from helicopters).

In short, the woman is a nightmare.

  12. Money, money, & money.

  13. Maybe the population is steady and not endangered.

  14. Correction: Palin is only an oil family because her husband is a union worker part time when he is not working in the family fishing business.  The polar bear was added to the endangered species list just this year.  It was a move to help stop drilling in Anwar.  The bear was added to the list with no back up criteria.

  15. I have no doubt that her opposition to listing the polar bear as a threatened species is that she's worried the listing will impact oil drilling in Alaska due to habitat protection.

Palin gets her information from 'scientists' funded by the oil industries. Just a bit of a conflict of interest.

"Palin's administration relied in part on research from scientists funded by the oil industry to fight against the polar bear's listing, arguing that the impact of global warming on the bear 20 years from now can't be predicted. But e-mails obtained by a University of Alaska professor show that the state's marine mammal experts supported the federal government's conclusions on the bear."

  16. Right they hate polar bears!  Good god man grow the fuc up

  17. VPilf

  18. CNN is the main source of spinning the truth. They aren't considered a credible news source. Put what you hear on CNN through a fine filter other wise your going to pollute your mind.

  19. There is a story about one of Palin's home town residents that makes the same statement. From what I've read about Palin she wants to increase drilling in many areas of Alaska, if the polar bear is on the endangered list it makes it more difficult for her to move those types of projects forward. There is a lot of money to be made in oil and many Alaskans want to drill and get that money. Even people who aren't directly associated with the oil companies will benifit. In Palins speech she talked about a surplus that she gave back to the citizens, that was profits the state made because of the oil taxes that increase as the price of oil increases.

  20. If that is the case, it seems pretty obvious why.  She does enjoy hunting...I'll let you put two and two together.

  21. why not?

  22. She wants a new Fur Coat in White.
