Why is Science important to us? Does is affect our future?

Yes science is very important to us and it affects our future in so many different ways, both positive and negative.

We need science to continue existing as a human race.Without science we would have been probably all dead due to disease out breaks, and so many things.We would not have known where we are or where we are heading to.

And the negative bit is that its this very science that causes some of the diseases, like the atomic bombs used at certain time, the dangerous gases made for go use, the pollution caused by the many vehicles on our roads and so many others.

science efects our present annd future. nearlly all good jobs invovle science (plumber electrition scientist doctor dentist etc) so umm...... yeah

It affects our present and future -

- The air that we breathe, the food that we eat, teh water that we drink

- Transportation, in whatever mode (foot, wheelchair, car, train, ship, plane, skateboard, ski)

- The gadgets we use (computer used to accessYahoo answers)

The problem is, the way they teach science, they do not tie it back into day-to-day life, at least they didn't when I was in high school.
