Why is Six Flags over Georgia still open?

It’s run-down & dangerous! My family & Friends visited last year, we travel & visit lots of themeparks so it has been a few shorts yrs since our last visit. Not detailing all the issues we personally endured that day I just want to say that it was the single most unpleasant day @ any themepark any of us had experienced. From the Locker n***s for overpriced rentals @ each ride to the multiple broken rides (people stuck @ the top & walking down the Goliath, the ninja giving riders head/neck pain, DejaVu actually lost restraints MID-RIDE). The employees are immature teens who don’t take their job serious & all look like gang members. I stood almost 2 hrs in line @ the guest services desk w/ maybe 50 others who were also complaining about their experience w/ similar & shocking stories. There have been WHITE KIDS BEAT UP BY EMPLOYEES W/ BRASS KNUCKLES & DRIVE-BY SHOOTINGS & GANG STABBINGS (stories available online). Even the management complains about the lack of care by the current owner!

  1. and where can i find these stories?

im interested in reading more about this.

  2. I have family in Georgia and I stopped going there with them years ago. Most of the things you have stated are true unfortunately. However, I don't think the race of the victims matter because there have been park goers of other races there that have been harmed also. I feel your pain and are displeased with the amusement park also. Someone needs to do something. Six Flags needs to revamp the whole thing and hire some new people because I won't be going back anytime soon. Did you also hear of the sad news of the young boy who was killed there this Saturday. Here's a link http://www.ajc.com/news/content/metro/co...

  3. I agree with you that it shouldn't be open. Yesterdays tragedy (although the teen did go beyond restricted areas) is proof that there is also a safety issue at the park. I have read many articles (in interest to yesterdays horror) and keep finding article upon article about incidents at the park. I don't know how many more people have to die or get injured at that park before someone shuts it down.

Personally, I have not visited the Georgia park. I have, however, visited the California park and found your observations to be true at a totally different park. The employees are young, careless, more occupied with talking to each other than making sure visitors are safe. I went on one ride (I think it was Superman) and they didn't even do a seatbelt check. I was appauled.

  4. I question why many Six Flags parks are still open.

  5. its open b/c it still makes money. no matter how bad it gets until there is a HUGE public outcry or the park starts to lose money it most likely wont go anywhere. I believe Six Flags is the type of company that will ride a park into the ground before closing it.
