Why is Sodium Laureth Sulfate considered a "no no" ingredient with naturals?

  1. and sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide. both of which are nasty polluting chemicals to produce.


  2. It is proven to be a skin irritant and suspected of being toxic to several organs. The big reason why we don't know for sure is it isn't being tested. Remember the cosmetics industry has very little regulation. Each individual company decides what is a "safe dose" of a chemical and they don't consider if you may be using other products that may also contain a "safe dose" which would exceed the guidlines.

    I put a great link to a cosmetic database that you can use to look up specific ingredients as well as many specific products to see what the risks are so you can decide what you want to use on your body.
