Why is Soledad O'Brien hosting a documentary called "Black in America"?

Soledad O'Brien is Irish (dad is Irish Australian), Cuban and African (her mom is Afro-Cuban). She technically has 'black' in here, but to say that she is a black American is very silly. She is as 'black' as Tiger Woods. In fact, her example shows what's wrong with the media's portrayal of blacks. For every patently 'black' anchor, there are 10 Soledad O'Brien type 'blacks': very light skinned, arguably Causasian-looking, who but for a small percentage of "black" would be considered just a slightly tanned white person. This is a throwback to the old "rule" that said that even a small percentage of "black" meant you are black. Why don't these stupid TV shows hire ACTUAL black people to ask about how it is to live as Black in America?
