Why is Spanish spoken in many countries of the world?

Because the Spanish forced there language in to many regions.

For many reasons, but simplified it branched out from Latin in Hispanola and eventually became Spanish. During the 1600's and on Spain colonized much of the americas and Phillipines and so on.

Because Spain once had an invincible army that invaded many regions of the world and ,like any invasion , it forced its culture including the language upon the people of those settlements.
