I know that it is actually killing cells in your mouth (my science teacher told me), but why does it do that? I did an experiment of my class where i experimented which pepper killed the most bacteria (since bacteria are cells). I need answers pronto. also, please include your sources. thank you so much!

  1. becuz the turkey decied to fly and the cat took a c**p and the lamp pole was over there and all the time u say y cant i see you and there arent any dog with tails...

  2. its only a chemical reaction going on.

  3. The chemical in the chili pepper responsible for the burning sensation is capsaicin. It is an irritant for mammals, but not for birds. The seeds of chili will not germinate after they pass through the guts of mammals, but they will germinate after they pass through the guts of birds. So the pepper plant produces capsaicin mainly to protect their seeds against mammals. Birds can not sense capsaicin, and they will feed on the pepper fruits and disperse their seeds.

If you are planning to try pepper juice on bacteria, I would like to suggest you try juices of garlic, green onion and ginger.

    Good luck.

  4. uuuuhhh girl u betta hit google.....

  5. i really don't know haha

  6. a spice doesn't nessisarily kill a cell

your taste buds develop and recognise different chemicals that taste spicy

they are organic molecules that send signals to your nerves that triggers pain

they can also inflamate the tissues and yea probably kill some of them

they probably evolved to keep animals from eating the seeds of the plant

  7. I LOVE SPICY FOOD !!!!!

  8. Because of a chemical compound called capsaicin!

  9. its a chemical reaction which plants use as a natural defense against bacteria and insects.

  10. Different chemicals go into different recesses of your tongue, where they will trigger different impulses to your brain. Spice gives you pain because your body is telling you that you shouldn't be eating it and it's harming you. As others have said, plants do this to avoid having their seeds eaten (although some people clearly don't care :).

    Here is some good into...

You bite them - They bite you! Why does food taste spicy? What make this fruiting so spicy? What purpose even has that spiciness? Nutritionists explain that the pain that we feel while eating chili comes of substances under the name kapsaicin. Chaffing feel which appear, is actually the reaction of " heat exchange ". Because of an affect on nervous ending, which otherwise performs the perception of warmth, those ingredients create the impression of chaffing.

Therefore season the stake with pepper because you will digest it more easily in that way. "Sharpness" of the taste in the ginger comes from gingerola, antibacterial substances which also encourages the work of the stomach and bowles.

  12. Because it has spices in it, duh dumbass!
