Why is Subway considered a fast-food resturaunt?

It's not exactly "fast-food". After all, it does take about 5-7 minutes to get your food ordered up and prepared. If thats the case then PB&J's must be fast food right?

Any kind of sandwich is fast food I think.

I figure any food you can make fast would be "fast food" technically.

It's just....GOOD fast food ;o)

because it  doesnt take a long time to make...or eat....and u have to go out to get it but its not techniqually a fast food resterant (to me at least) but its not like a formal resterant (like somewhere you eat that has long lines or reservations...or waitor/waitresses)

5-7 minutes for a meal is considered fast food... Take into account how long it takes for food to get to you at a sit down restaurant.

Well it's not exactly a sit down order wait 40 min restaruant either. The thing most about SUBWAY the differs from fast food is QUALITY it is actually not all that BAD FOR YOU.

Well one would think that fast-food would be defined as food which is quickly prepared, and I think this is true for the most part... but I think it also has something to do with the cost of the food. If one person can eat for less then $10 and no tip is expected, its more-or-less fast food.

This is making me want to slap Jerry in the face for saying he lost...Like 200lbs. by just eating subway. Just think of other people probably tried to do that. But did it work, NO!!

Subway is about as quick as McDonalds or Burger King. it's a fast-food restaurant cause you get your food relatively quickly. A meal in 5-7 minutes is still a lot quicker than any regular restaurant.

It's fast food....because it's quick...and definitely much quicker than me fixing the same at home, considering I'd have to buy all of the ingredients. They already have them sitting there waiting for me to pick and choose! It's fast...it's easy...and with no clean up. Works for me! As far as comparing it to PB&J's...assuming you make them at home...sure they're fast...but you have to have all of the ingredients and then there's the knife you have to l**k to clean up. Too messy (but still good)...*L*

I wouldn't really know because I never eat Subway. Once when I was 9, my aunt and I went on my birthday, to have a day together, and I ate Subway, the next day iWas throwing up and was sick. I did go with my friend not too long ago...all I ate was a bag of chips.

i think subway pretty fast cause if its only 5-7 mins thats pretty ggood cause i ususally go through the drive-thru like at mcdonalds or jack in the box and it sometimes take over 10 mins. and most non-fast food restaurant take up to like 30mins or more to get the food out.

Pretty much any resturaunt with a drive-thru window is considered 'fast-food'. Also, because you usually get your food really quick there...

Subway was consider a fast food because subway employees serve you well and the food is also fresh

Thw tomtatoes are fresh ,lettuee and meat is fresh.

Subway employees knows that you order they always give in the bag. In other fast  food they would ask you eat in / take out and PB&J resturant not a fast food ,everyone can make a peanut butter and jam sandwich . All you need it to by a jar of peanut butter and jam  and have PB&J everyday..
