Why is Subway?

I need to know the reasons why it is so GREAT to work at Subway instead of Mcdonalds. Please answer, longest answer gets 10 points.

I would rather work at Subway.  Subway is not as busy.  You smell like bread and cookies instead of grease.  You also get free employee meals.  The selection is healthier at Subway also.

Neither is great.  Subway is just a clean, healthier (for the most part) version of Mcdonalds.   I worked at Subway for 2 days and hated it.  You come out smelling like bread and funk.  The people were mean and I hated the whole fast food thing.  Go for a retail job.  You will make around the same and you won't stink!!

Because the food is the healthiest and there is no grease involved in preparing it.  You can face the public who is generally not screaming kids and are all adult and you don't have to cook anything greasy like french fries, hamburgers, etc.  I'd work there before I worked at any other fast food place.  You also don't have drive thru windows with backed up traffic.

If they want us to eat healthy, why does Subway put high fructose corn syrup in their buns?

First off the pay is not good then you have to work with a buch of grease plus some places hire the dumbest people then you have to worry about people screamming at you if you mess their order up then there is the mix up orders or someone did not get something or was over charged for something then the screamming kids the food sucks the place is not always the cleanest half the mangement do not give a care what goes on they are running around like chickens with their heads cut off along with the rest of them then you have to guess if your are cooking everything right and not burn down the place then you have to clean the deep fry section which i would not wish on my enemy you get bad skin bad hari bad nails from it most of the people their do not care about what they are doing it is not a job you can make a good living on i mean you can not really expect to make it a career how can anyone live on what they pay and in some states they do not have to pay min. wage if they make a certain amount of money each year.

Subway lets see the food is just better for you they make it fresh and right in front of you so you know what you are getting no hidden surprises no grease it is not going to cause acne and bad hair and nails you won't stink like deep fryed food and have to wash in Dawn dish liquid the people are nicer beacuse they are not getting screamed at all day and night less people in line so you do not have to wait 3 days for it then have it messed up better choices for the money and it won't clog up your insides or bring on extra weight and cause you to have a heartattack,high cholostral and its just all around better for you.

because not that many people go to subway so working there won't be that stressful. Alot of people prefer McDonald over subway. Just image working at McDonald on one those hamburger sale they have. you work until you drop there. and some McDonald open for 24 hours. do you really want to work there at 3am because of a bunch of stoners got the muchie for some food.

i worked at subway from may till december 2007. you got free food while you were working there and even when you weren't working there. it wasn't as busy so you had time ot just stand around to eat and talk. cleaning was easy. not as much people so less pressure to rush. no greasy nasty food so no acne.

I worked at Subway for 6 years. It was an alright job. I had no benefits. The sandwiches were only free when the owners were not there. If they were there it would be a 10 cents discount if any. Most Subway are independently owned. But McDonald's are corporate . So most will give you benefits. Food wise....yes Subways had some great sandwiches and working there I was able to create some strange but good sandwiches. Today I still go to Subways for lunch it is health. Sorry McDonald's.

uh because subway is usually alot cleaner and healthier and mcdonalds is really dirty and bad for you and if i were to work at those places i would not want to know i could be giveing the next person i severe a heart attack! plus you probly get paid more at subway than mc donalds!
