Maybe it's awesome,

BUT can you name (without checking Google) a great currently living Swedish inventor? Painter? Musician (besides ABBA)? Explorer? Humanitarian? Writer? Political leader? Scientist? Actor? Director? Film?

The fact is, that great people and great accomplishments come from struggling in a difficult culture that needs change, and from family situations that individuals need to rise above.  In Sweden, they have a cradle-to-grave welfare system (that takes 60% tax rate on its people) that does not encourge change. Why bother to invent an iPod or build a Space Shuttle?

i love the scandanavian peoples too, so sensible, calm, got their priorities right.
