Why is Taco Bells drive thru so slim?

Maybe because of the high cost of land?  I haven't noticed that the driveway is slim but I have been asked to turn down my stereo volume once.

What are you talking about? I wish it were slimmer - 90% of the time I had to go on tippy-toes to take the customers money because they pulled up too far away from the window.

hahaha who knows but your right...when driving thru your got to be careful and just saying to my knowledge most of the taco bells i see its either in a corner or placed in a tiny area...so i guess to make the place bigger they make the drive thru smaller and parking little : /

I don't know, I don't eat at Taco Bell, haven't ate there in forever.

The one in my town also has a slim drive - thru.

Good question.  And your right. I noticed that,but no longer eat at Taco Bell.  Good question to ask their Corp. headquarters.  I prefer El Pollo Loco.  They make good crispy chicken taco's.
