Why is Texas Gov Perry and wife in Europe for a economic visit, natural gas drill boom?

I read this today when I read about the governor masion burning down. Wondering whats its about, could it be related to the natural gas drilling boom?

Nope, no relationship at all.  The investigation is still going on. The mansion was under renovation and all the valuable were not in the building anyway.
