I'm asking because I always assumed that the reciever did most of the work.

  1. The quarterback handles the ball every single play and is considered the leader of the team.

  2. Just like your mother told you at Christmas time, " It is harder to give than to receive."

  3. Using the first three answer's logic the most popular and important position is the Center...after all he touches the ball EVERY single play, thus without which there is no quarterback, receiver, place-kicker, etc.  In reality, the QB is the glamor position that gains the credit and the blame more than any other position in football because more than any other position the QB's play can determine the outcome of the game.

  4. Without a good quarterback, even a great receiver is useless.

There are many receivers, only one quarterback each game.

  5. popular? i think there can be loser QBs

  6. Without the quarterback there would be no receiver

  7. but without a reciever there would be no quarterback
