Why is The Red Badge of Courage called an anit-novel please explain!?

It's an anti-novel because it isn't written like a traditional novel.  

It's narrated from the third-person "omniscient point of view".  Meaning the book is explaining the thoughts and feelings of Henry but not of any other characters.
