  1. He is not more physically skilled at the game than the other top golfers. What he has is a superior mental game.

  2. The thing that separates him from the rest is his ability to read the greens correctly.  If you see a compilation of all the putts that he made that was crucial in a tournament, it's insane to see how many times he drains it.

  3. Because he has played longer and works harder then most golfers. He was of the first to include fitness training into his training program. His DNA gave him a good build and hand eye coordination but it is his dedication to practice that makes him better then most. He has the same killer instinct and drive to be the best that athletes like Michael Jordan and few others possessed.

  4. i was debating this same question in my own mind the other day, and i came up with this: tiger is so good at golf because he practices and because of practice he has the ability to read golf courses really well, placing him above every one else on the course who can not read them well.

if there are other golfers out there who practiced as much as him and could read the courses well, then they would have a chance at beating him, but if not, you lose.

nowadays, as a pga golfer it seems that winning involves two things: beating the course and beating tiger (if hes out there). winning should only involve beating the course. when sergio won the players he said that he wanted to thank tiger for not being there as if he would not have won if tiger had been out there, c'mon.

you get so much praise just playing in the same group with tiger and when you beat him its even better for your career, and thats interesting.

can you imagine the publicity if rocco had won? people would still be talking, i was hoping he won to prove my point, but it seems that my point wont be proven for awhile since tiger is out for the rest of the season. darn

  7. An ingrained obsession to be perfect or as close to perfect as possible. His father did that. He practices, gets into better physical shape than most other people, is not afraid to change a swing if it means better contact and better consistency even after winning major tournaments. He is always thinking on how to beat the course even with adversities.

  8. Because he has been playing since he could walk and he has genetically superior golfing DNA

  9. its in his genes

  10. practice
