Why is Tony Scheffler not longer the starting TE of the Denver Broncos?

I heard this and not sure if it's true. Please, confirm whether this is true and if it is. Why?.

Scheffler is a solid option at TE, and denver doesn't really have anyone but Marshall (who's even suspended) to throw to.

Tony Scheffler is the second string TE for the Denver Broncos.  Daniel Graham is over him right now.  I don't know why they would do that but maybe he wasn't showing his true potential in training camp and preseason.
