Turkey is technically an Asian Country, but is surrounded almost entirely by European Countries, and since the Ural Mountains boarder the Majority of the Europe/Asia boarder, this has been a easily accessible crossing point from one continent to another.  Thus this provided an eclectic mix of Asian and European cultures and styles.

    Anatolia, the largest part of the country is located in western Asia whilst Thrace, the much smaller part, forms the extreme southeastern tip of Europe.
