Why is UK weather so utterly cr*p?

Question

Can anyone logically answer this for me? Why is it raining in summer? Why is it cold? Where the h**l is the sun? It's a S****y country in every respect, the least we could have is a decent summer.

It isn't that bad, you obviously are not a happy person, why do you need the whether to make you happy???? you don't!!! get a grip or move!!!!  Britain is not scanky,  cant you see what we do have!!! have you been locked in a basement with no sunlight at all??? no you haven't think yourself lucky!!!!

It's because he hotter it is the more rain you will get due to evaporation.

Because the island is located in a terrible place! And we get all the bad movement of bad weather, it's depressing isn't it? We need to live close to the line of the horizon, like Florida! I love Florida.

I think it has very thing to do with the way the gulf stream flows passed the UK.

the gulf stream brings massive amount of warm water thru its current pretty close to the uk/ireland.

That's why it's way warmer than compared to other parts of the world at the same latitude. When massive amounts of warm moisture hits cold air from the upper atmosphere it rains alot.

It's supposed to be much colder than it is in the UK. Look at the position on the global, and compare it. Parts of scotland are at the same latitude as moscow. It's way colder in moscow than scotland..

i think its got to do with the position of the earth.....right so you've got the northern and southern hemispheres...when the sun is in the northern hemisphere its summer there and winter in the southern hemisphere...and vice versa....but i think we are near the end of the hemisphere so we get crappy weather..!

thats roughly what i can remember from key stage 3 geog....which isn't bad since i'm now doing my A Levels!!
