Why is Victoria like a "foreign country" compared to New South Wales ?

We all know Victoria is the Nations 2nd State, inferrior in many ways compared to New South Wales, which originally stretched the entire length of the eastern seaboard, taking in both Victoria and Queensland.

But why is it like travelling to a foreign country when you drive from NSW to Mexico (sorry i meant Victoria)? Is it just because they (the Mexicans, sorry Victorians) play a strange, bizar hybrid game of "football" more resembling a strange cross between Basketball and soccer, or are Mexicans (Sorry, Victorians) all inbreds like Tasmanians???

  4. We feel like that over in WA as well anyway nice to hear from you Wayne even if you are doing a bit of stirring

  5. that's kind of a screwed up question

  6. HAHAHAHAHAHA  havnt had such a laugth in ages

This is my 1st season in the afl section and i was wondering where the comody relief was

yur a funny man you should become a proffesional comedian

  7. isnt it funny that your sport comes from England while our sport was made in Australia, for Australians?

Rugby League screwed up with the super league, now its an 'international game' where Australia only wins anyway......AFL does the same thing, Australia would always win, but we dont make up competitions to make ourselves feel good either!

I see more Papua New Guninians, Irish, Finnish, Swedish, Japanese, Americans, Canadians, Iraqi's playing AFL....not Rugby League.

Did you watch the news on ANZAC Day? what were the solders playing? Aussie Rules of course....didnt see anyone playing League on the battle front!

edit: no i didnt mate, but there was no competition, it was to make Australia feel good.....and im talking about the diggers in Iraq, not in Australia!

and in Queensland, we call NSW'ers the Mexicans and the Vics Argentines! Argentina would kick Mexico's butt anyday! Also get a history lession, it was called New South Wales as it was ruled by the leader of Wales at the time!

  8. Victoria has lost their mantle as sports capital of Oz. That's why they are acting like they are now....(e.g. foreign country).

  9. yo have no idea what you are talking about

  10. F@#ken h**l where have you been Wayne A,i hope not suspended again LOL, yes mate Victoria is one of a kind a true gem amongst old rocks down the eastern sea board, and that weird game you speak of-the truly dinky di Aussie one that is taking over the country slowly but surely - one day you'll see the light,it takes more than a fat neck and a penchant for other blokes bums to play it.

Any way good to hear from you on the AFL section obviously fishing for a bite. have a good one! ;) ADD: us good old mexicans are even beating you at your own game-how sad GO STORM!

  11. Victoria is more of a foreign country when you compare it with WA!

    More so than NSW.

Australia is more like this between states than the yanks are - or even UK between England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Island.

I think it is because Victoriahas been brought up to believe they rule Oz as far as sport is concerned & they become very upset if challenged.

I have some good Vic mates & we often laugh about it all. Especially what they say about WA! I do, however, take it in fun.
