Why is Victoria the CEO of Newman enterprise? on Young and the restless?

They called a board meeting and since she had the most experience and all of the Newmans are still on the board, they voted her in as CEO until Victor returns. Adam was trying to take over and run it and that's why they had a board meeting to put someone in charge that knows what to do.

I was really shocked the day that episode took place.  I found it pretty strange at who the "board" members were.  After all, Victor took great pains to write Victoria and Nick out of his will, why on earth would he leave a "board" in tact made up of all the family members he blamed for Sabrina's death and wanted them out of his life.   It looks like the "board" at Newman Enterprises was stacked to do whatever the family wanted...that is...to exclude Adam out of everything.
