  1. it happens with alot of great historical, artistic figures, change usually isnt realized until the positive effects sink in, normally after the person has died.


  2. Times and people change.  Even though I don't think Booker T's message was totally wrong(just partially).

  3. WEB is pretty much forgotten today.  Don't believe me?  Stand on a busy street with a clipboard and ask 100 passersby, "Who was WEB DuBois?" and if you get more than one person who has the vaguest notion I will be surprised.
