Why is Waltrip not already in the lineup for the All Star race?

I'm so confused. It even states in black and white on the Nascar site that past winners of the All Star race are included, but Waltrip isn't even though he won it years ago. What's wrong with this picture?

  3. the 10 year rule has come into play on this question

  4. don't worry he's tryin to cheat his way in

  6. Only the winners for the past 10 years are given automatic spots in the All-Star race.  Waltrip won in 1996 which is more than 10 years ago.

  7. He hasnt won it in 10 years and he is not a past champion either with the ten year rule also.

  8. If I am not mistaken NASCAR made a rule a few years ago that the winner of the race can participate if it is within the last 10 years. This was done for so old timers that were not competitive anymore could just hop in any car just for this race

  9. because he won in 1996 and they only use the winners of the race from the last 10 years so last year and this year he is not elligable via being a past all star race champion

  10. it was more then 10 years ago

  11. past winners only applys for 10 years  to keep all the elliots and jarrett out of it

  12. 10 years!

  13. the real reason is he SUCKS
