Why is Webkinz *STILL* down today 7/10/08 past 4 pm est!?

Question

My son and I like to play with Webkinz - it's the only "girly" thing we do together because I'm not so much into Legos Mars and making gunner noises at Aliens. He has 2 dogs and I have one cat on our Webkinz account. I took care of his pets while he was at camp and today I wanted to take care of the basic set of points but Webkinz page was down. It says would be back up at 4:00 pm EST which is 3:00 pm CST. It's now almost 5 pm EST and it's STILL down!! What's up with that? They had some downtime last week too. Why can't they do their PM's and web maintainance at night when we're all asleep??

It's back up now. They added a new game in the charm forest. It's a game where you try to find stars. It's not to 'girly', I think it is fine for him. Hope I helped!

We were able to get on at 4pm (eastern time) to do some jobs and take care of things in 2 accounts.  By 5, they were down again.  We had to log out a couple of time, so that may be why they had to shut down.  I agree, why can't they do the work in the middle of the night.

I have been wondering the same thing... maybe they are updating it majorly!! lol i just got my first webkin yesterday and i havent been able to play ever. :( Hopefully there is a big update!!!

it isnt really down...thats the log in screen with a glitch!

just go down to the links at the bottom of the page and click on log in....it WILL let you log in! ive been doing it for the past 2 hours, so there is no updating anymore, except that you cant go to the wbkinz clubhouse...i think the new kinzchat is being set up there.

This is what I do I go on Webkinz and I click on Customer Service and they will show the log in button. Everytime they r down and suppose to be open I go on there and start playing. I find it fustrating too. Hope I helped Have a nice day!!!

on webkinz.com jus scroll down to the bottom of the page even if it says sry you cant log in doing maintenance

then scroll down to the bottom nd there is a button thay says log in and jus press that nd u can log in regularly!! :]
