Why is Wendy's always the slowest of all the fast-food restaurants?

Sounds like you had bad timing when it came to wanting that frosty at the Wendys you went to.

Wendys is pretty good. I miss their Super Salad Bar.

I agree. The Wendy's near my house always takes a long time in the drive-thru. They usually mess my order up 2 out of 3 times. Last week they didn't give me my baked potato on top of waiting 25 minutes for 4 cars ahead of me in the drive-thru.

Wendy's in my area is actually pretty fast. A known place to do extremely slow service (and I'm sure some of you out there can vouch for me) is Carls Jr. I guess its an exception too because Carls Jr. has a whole lineup of big fat juicy burgers which do take a longer time to cook and prepare. Other than that though Wendy's is pretty decent in terms of average time waiting. The line there is long though i'll tell you that :p cheers

I guess it depends on the employers who works there. The one near my school is pretty decent, but I've been to a few that were extremely slow. I only ordered a small fries and a good 15-20 minutes.

When i have gone to Wendy's, i see that the staff focuses on the drive thru more then they do in the main area where we customers are waiting in line to give an order, and its not fair

It's probably the location you go to. The wendy's I go to is pretty fast, Slower than McDonalds or Taco Bell, but the food is ALWAYS fresh and hot. Here, Burger King is slow as a snail. I sat in the drive thru for almost 20 minutes waiting to get my food.

I must point out they have the most healthy food and it comes in big portions.

Its probably the store, frosties take like 10 seconds to make.  The only thing that might have caused the slowdown was new frosty mix in the machine, which occasionally causes a wait so it can freeze and not be what amounts to melted ice cream.  That, or they were pretty understaffed, and the person making your frosty was also covering another position, or they were new.

I truly believe that Burger King is the slowest of all the fast food restaurants. Almost without fail, regardless of the location or time of day, there will be 1 employee at the register, 1 making sandwiches, and 8 others milling around doing nothing.

Wendy's does not use pre cooked meat so it takes a bit longer to process each order.  Therefore, because the person ahead of you may have ordered a meal you needed to wait for the frosty to be served.

some fast food reasturants arnt corprate owned and dont have to meet as high of standards and higher the well slow people
