  3. Crema volteada or "Creme renverse" in french is a very popular dessert in Peru, made with vanilla, egg yolks and milk. It came with the Spaniards who colonized Peru and Peruvians, who have a sweet tooth, developed a fascination with it. The 2 most common dessets in Lima, for example, are Crema volteada and Suspiro Limeño (another very sweet creme based dessert which was developed locally during the spanish colony).
