here's the article, it's on the main yahoo page.

http://news.yahoo.com/story//ap/20080904/ap_on_el_pr/cvn_fact_check

After reading the article, I'm curious to know if yahoo has donated any money to the Obama campaign.

  1. another conservative who would rather believe their own version of the "truth" than trust that one of the oldest, largest, and most reliable wire services (AP) could possibly write something factual. no no, it's gotta be bias.

  2. Its not bias. They are reporting the truth.

More than I can say for McCain and Palin.

  3. They wasted no time calling her a liar.  Yahoo is in the tank for bin Biden, nothing new.  Liberal s**+theads.

  4. They just updated the site with a fact checking article on the DNC as well.

  5. Probably.  This is another hack site.

  6. Libhoo is extremely biased.  That was made very plain during the DNC primaries when they slammed Hillary and made butt-love with Obama.

  7. All the media is doing this.

Did you think they'd fall behind and loose readers?

  8. Yawn...did you just finish your coffee?  This old news....

They have the same for the DNC...

  9. The truth is not biased.

  10. The article's not biased, it's just debunking blatant lies.  The problem is that when a charasmatic person lies with conviction to a group who *wants* to believe those lies, it can be successful.  Interestingly, highly charismatic "cult leader" types who are brilliant liars often fall under the sociopath heading as sociopaths by definition lack a conscience and so are excellent at lying to benefit themselves.  When these types get to positions of power, it comes down to the personal responsibility of those listening to investigate facts.  Unfortunately some people shirk personal responsibility and don't fact check.

*Callie T, I know it's difficult  to comprehend how things are interlinked without it being spelled out for you in small words and sound bytes and I'm sorry Hooked on Phonics failed you but "yah" for you for trying!   :)

  11. So, the truth IS biased? Or you just can't handle the truth?

  12. Duh. Wake up RepubliKan!! Yahoo is the MSNBC of the internet!

  13. I saw that article too.  I am unable to find much bias in it.  It looks like it is just putting the truth out there.  Can you point out the parts that are untrue in the article for us?

  14. Because we should hear the FACTS, not the OPINIONS of some whiney bitc& from Moose Nation.

  15. because it is an article based on facts, I know that that is a  hard thing to comprehend but some people do like to hear them amd know them, do more time researching and less time picking a VP because they are in a specific party.

  16. Bias is in the eye of the beholder. Just because it casts her in a not so positive light doesn't mean bias. If it's factual then whats the problem?

  17. Throughout history, all extremist factions on the left and right of the political spectrum would like to have the American people believe that the media is not to be trusted. This is done so that all sources that don't seem to agree with a specific agenda become discredited among the public.

Move on.org would have one believe Fox news is skewed from a conservative vantage point.

Sean Hannity would have one believe that all 3 network outlets, all Universities and most Newspapers are leftists.

These statements are mere tools used as propaganda in order to manipulate public opinion than facts.

No one media outlet, journalist, broadcaster, talk show host, author, blogger, website has the same vantage point of another. Thus "the media" cannot be accurately portrayed as one monolithic entity. Each organization has a different view point and set of motivations than the next (even if there are similarities among some).

The assertion that the entire media is favoring one candidate would only cause people to become distrustful of any positive press on that candidate b/c of a belief in a possible conspiracy.

Yahoo has posted fact checking articles about Obama, Clinton as well as other candidates.  You are pointing out any negative press in reference to Conservatives and positive press about liberals as a media conspiracy.  Do some research and check into what companies own most of the so called liberal media outlets and then check to see what political party these companies have contributed to.  You may find some rather surprising facts about companies such as General Electric.

Also, if Obama has the press on his side, was there also a concerted effort to trash Clinton since she lost many of the primaries?

  18. you know you have a liberal beat when they look like this

    http://www.powhatananimalhospital.com/di...

they are starting to come out of the woodwork.

  19. they are bias.  The media in general are bias in favor of the DEMS.

  20. Look over the front page... Its not just one, there are more then that.

Dude, its no secret that the media is biased (read it, it was written by the mainstream press....not yahoo).

How come we don't see more outing of Obama and his past, his associates and he lack of knowledge on any important issue?

    Its all biased, my friend.

  21. Wow: you're claiming bias if someone points out that your VP candidate and others have lied?  Nice denial.

  22. you mean fact checking. You can check those facts yourself, but I bet you won't.

Come on... Palin elected by more voters than Biden. Sorry the facts are 7 thousand for Palin, 76,000 for Biden. That is what they call a fact, it got checked, and now you are uncomfrtable because the actual fact proves the statement false.

Not too good on facing reality are we?

  23. YAHOO is and has been obviously biased.  JIM KUHNHENN, the AP writer of the piece is notoriously liberal in his stories.

  24. I'm usually long-winded, but this answer is easy:

At one time Yahoo! was a trend-setter in the "new" media.  However, they sold out and follow the liberal network media.

In fact, on the rare occasion that something is too racy for the networks, they farm out their smear campaign to these internet outlets.

Yahoo! is one of many internet giants that changed the world but declined improve it.

Proof?  Passing off Politico articles as part of their news sections.  Need I say more?

  25. the truth has  NO bias......

  26. True enough...the facts are so very biased.  It's funny how y'all don't remember they did the same thing for Obama.  You right wing conspiracy nuts need to get a grip.

  27. What?......you didn't think that palin was a clean politician that didn't take bribes, tell lies, and was still able to  look you in the face with sincerity did you?  Come on......one of the main qualifying attributes to being a politician is to be able to lie, pad your own pockets and convince the American public what a great person you are and fully intend on making good on ALL  of your campaign promises. They PRIDE themselves at their ability at doing this.  And  you know what....they have most of the American (sheep) public believing them.

  28. Biased? LOL!  It is a fact check article just like the one that they did after the speeches at the Democratic National Convention.  What's the matter, can't take the heat and the light of factual reporting?  Stop whining.  See the link below to the fact check article about the Democrats in Denver.  Get real.

Edit:  No it's not bias, it is FACT that Palin spoke in SUPPORT of the Bridge To Nowhere before turning against it when it became a symbol for pork barrel spending.  Jeez, wake up.

  29. The word is "biased."  "Bias" is a noun.  "Biased" is the adjective you seek.

And everything in the article is true.  You can't disprove it.  Therefore, it isn't biased; it's just proving Sarah Palin to be a liar.

  30. Because you know who is clearly biased against everything and everyone not from the democratic party.

The Sociopath Next Door is an excellent read.  But what does it have to do with     well anything about this question. But yah that you can read!

  31. Am I the only one who sees the similarities here:

    Osama bin Laden

    Obama and Biden
