Why is Zeus (Jupiter) depicted as having so many extramarital affairs?

Io was changed into a cow, because Hera found out about it.

Semele was burned to a crisp because Hera tricked her into making Zeus appear to her in his natural form. (Dionysus was rescued from her body and was placed int Zeus's thigh until he was born).

Slept with Metis, and then swallowed her because she got pregnant. After which Athena sprang from his head.

Had s*x with Leda in the form of a swan, who gave birth to Castor, Pollux, and Helen (of Troy).

Had Hermes with the nymph Maia.
