It's not scientific literature. I'm going by personal experience.

  1. They are.  Look at the facts.  More men break into houses than women break into houses.  The likely hood of a woman or female being in the home at night and being RAPED considers her to be more vunerable than if the man broke into a house with a man in the house..I doubt the man would be raped.  You never know tho.    I don't find it unfair.  It's the facts.  I think about that all the time being a woman at home alone at night with 4 kids.  What if someone broke into my house??  Sure I'd put up h**l of a fight to protect my kids as well as myself.  BUT;.....Im not nearly as strong as most men I know.

  2. A woman is considered vulnerable anytime she is alone day or night.  The average man can physically over power the strongest woman no matter what the situation.  That's why in some cultures women aren't allowed to travel or live alone.  It isn't misogynistic its just reality.

  3. It isn't unfair and misogynistic! It's just the unfortunate reality. Most women are more vulnerable than most men when they are alone at night.

  4. only unfair to small g*y men

  5. I'm not aware of scientific literature that supports this statement.

When armed with a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol, neither a male nor female is particularly vulnerable to physical threat.

  6. Yes it is unfair, but it doesn't matter how many laws you make, there will always be some sick b*stards out there!

  7. No.

  8. If a woman goes out at night she is more likely to become a rape victim than a man is.. men are built stronger and bigger than woman and who is going to rape a guy? If a woman tries he will most likely be able to stop her where as if a 5'5" or below or even taller woman is being attacked by someone 50 pounds or more heavier and 5 or more inches taller than her its not exactly in her favor now is it?

  9. Hello,,that concept dates back to the good ole days when women were the sub-species and were told what to do all the time,,a few escaped and their tales of night time torture by the s*x crazed men caused panic in the countryside!!

  10. It is not misogynistic...it is merely the way it is.  Violence against women is much higher in the cases of muggings and rapes, and often, it occurs to women alone at night.

There is nothing sexist about this consideration - it is just fact.

  11. because men go get drunk and wander around looking for a woman to rape at night. men are not as vulnerable because nobody wants to touch them unless its to steal their wallet.

  12. It's not true that people don't consider safety for males. There are a lot of people who get that, even if someone's male, doesn't mean they want to be walking around in high crime areas in the middle of the night.

On the whole, women are smaller and physically weaker. And rapists target women much more than men (by an overwhelming lot).

Thus, it can be reasonably concluded that a woman walking alone at night is more likely to be harmed, than a man.

No, it's not unfair and misobynistic -- what makes you ask? That makes no sense.

It's not as though someone is proposing a law forcing all men to walk in dangerous areas alone at night. Fairness doesn't come in to it at all.

  13. I am not vulnerable at night; but I am smart I keep my doors locked, and I keep weapons in my home.  I think to many people see women as weak and that not enough parents both male and female want to teach their daughters how to defend themselves because they fear that their daughters will become masculine.  Very sad.

You know yes most men are physically stronger then a women unless she is a body builder; so when some dumb women leaves the club or her house at 1 pm in the dark and walks somewhere alone with out pepper spray or self defense knowledge she becomes a victim and the rest of us suffer for it.  Please learn to defend yourself.  A man t

  14. how can that be misogynistic? women are considered vulnerable when alone at night because they generally cannot defend themselves as well as men. men alone at night are vulnerable too darlin'.

  15. go out at night and see for yourself. but please, when you do get attacked, go to the police instead of posting here asking why all guys are rapist.

  16. not paticulary...

a criminal is more likley to try to mug a woman...even if she IS very strong.....

  17. It is unfair in a way, because it basically saying that women are the only victim of violence.

  18. It does seem unfair, but let's face facts.

Women ARE more vulnerable and always will be.

So are baby girls.  This is part of life.

Whilst men may need to be carrying money to be a crime statistic, we as women are a walking, vulnerable target at all times due to the very way we are made.

  19. Duh.....NO, how many men do you hear about getting raped or molested??
