Why is a hard drive partitioned,can i make my c drive bigger or have no partition?

my hard drive is partition, the c : 20gb and d:100gb,i want to make the c drive larger

  1. yes but first you need to delete the d: partition make sure your os is installed in c: and move anything you want from d to a different computer or backup on cd. The right click my computer then click manage on the left pane click disk management under storage right click and delete partition you dont want once that is done right click on C: and extend to the maximum possible

  4. are you sure it's a partition and not a second drive? if so then you can get the program Easeus Partition Manager for XP to join the two partitions or if you have Vista go to Computer and right click, Manage and Hard Disk and join the partitions from there
