Why is a perfume is on sale-at a good store-is it because it is expired?what are the reasons?

hey i worked in a perfume store & most of the time its just because we have ordered too many in at a cheap price so we get more profit by selling larger quantities at a cheaper price. We didnt sell expired perfume- staff got to keep it : ) !

They might have over stocked....and not made many sales as expected. So they lower the price to get rid of them faster to make room for newer products
